Despite the subtle nod towards a favourite fairytale creature of the artist, it is truly the octopus that is so bewildering and creates such awe.

A sot and soothing sage background and ink-black outlines curve around the tentacle's finer details, like a mythical laughter echoing through the tides. If the cheshire cat had a cousin beneath the waves, surely it would be this ones—appearing, disappearing, always just out of reach… and watching.
